The Indian Society of International Law (ISIL) was founded in 1959 at the initiative of Shri V. K. Krishna ‘Menon and inaugurated the same year by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India. ISIL has been publishing the Indian Journal of International Law since its inception, which is held in high esteem the world over. ISIL organizes annual conferences and seminars on international issues of contemporary interest.
