The seminar aims at identifying a number of specific areas for intervention with special focus on equal opportunities, empowerment, sustainability, education, health etc, which are sine-qua-non for both ethnic integration and promotion of democracy, good governance and human rights. The seminar also aims at creating better understanding among the participants about the integration approach and to seek their technical and epistemological support to carry it forward and institutionalize dialogue amongst all relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment of the ethnic integration on the basis of their thoughtful plans, programmes, policies and projects.

Themes of the Seminar:
‘Ethnic Integration in North-East India: Issues and Challenges’, the focal theme of the seminar has been receiving the attention of the academicians, government and bureaucrats, civil society and private sector representatives and various stakeholders engaged as planners, policy experts all over the country for over a couple of decades. Scholars are invited to share their research findings, present papers and participate in the proceedings of the seminar in order to facilitate an intensive discussion on the proposed theme.

Call for Papers:
The participants are cordially invited for presentations on any of the themes of the seminar. The Organizing Committee will accept submission of abstracts of original contributions which will be reviewed by a panel of experts.
Submission Guidelines
- Abstract should be written in English.
- Abstract should be typed in MS Word (Compatible Mode) only.
- Title: A good brief title is suggested.
- The name, designation, profile and correspondence address with e-mail id and telephone number may be written on the title page itself.
- Text: Normal, Times New Roman Font & 12 point indent, MS Word 97-2003.
- The abstract must clearly indicate the problem, methodology and major outcomes of the work within 500 words.
- Tables, symbols and diagrams must be avoided in the abstract.
- Complete Abstract should reach to the Organizing Secretary by e-mail latest byย 10th November, 2012.(Email Id: headpolscnsm@gmail.com)
- Abstract should be accompanied by completed registration form.
- Abstracts may be submitted only through e-mail. Hard copy submission may be avoided.
- Acceptance letters may be issued to the corresponding author on or before 20th November, 2012 by e-mail only.
- Full paper should reach the organizing secretary latest byย 17th December, 2012.

Travel and Accommodation:ย
Train fare (sleeper class) by shortest route will be provided to limited number of desirable participants depending on the availability of fund. Accommodation (boarding and lodging) of the registered participants would be provided in the hotels/guest houses in and around Udaipur. The registered participants will be informed prior to their arrival regarding the allotted places of stay.
