A total 17 practicing advocates from various district courts in the state, who have been working in the field for more than 30 years, were conferred with the title of ‘Senior Lawyers’ at the two-day Maharashtra State Lawyers meet.
The meet, which concluded here yesterday, was organised by the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. Thane District Courts Bar Association was the host for the meet in which more than 2500 advocates participated and deliberated on the various issues relating to the judiciary.
The senior advocates were felicitated at the hands of the Supreme Court Judge Justice Ranjana Desai, Mumbai High Court Chief Justice Justice Mohit Shah and Himachal High Court Chief Judge, Justice A M Khanvilkar, who gave them a shawl, srifal, bouquet and also a citation.
