(UNI) Karnataka High Court upheld a Single Judge’s order dismissing the petition of a senior official of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), challenging his suspension for alleged sexual harassment of a Medical Officer.
A Division Bench headed by Chief Justice D H Waghela dismissed the appeal stating they would not interfere with the single judge’s order dismissing the petition filed by Chief Administrative Officer C V Indu Shekar Vassist challenging his suspension.
It directed Vassist to go back to the Institute wherein the IIMB Director would take a final call on the matter.
However, the court stated that in case the decision taken goes against him (Vassist), he has the opportunity to challenge the order before an appropriate forum. UNI
