About Human Rights Law Network (HRLN)
The Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) is collective of lawyers and social activists dedicated to the use of the legal system to advance human rights, struggle against violations, and ensure access to justice for all. A non-profit, non-governmental organization, HRLN started out in 1989 as a small group of concerned lawyers and social activists from tiny premises in Bombay. Today, the Human Rights Law Network has evolved into a nationwide network of more than 200 lawyers, paralegals, and social activists spread across 26 states/union territories. Their work has directly impacted millions of people across the country and has fundamentally influenced the legal discourse on human rights in India and the sub-continent.
Internship Programme
HRLNโs internship or volunteer programme is a challenging and interesting experience for those committed to human rights and social justice in India. They offer an exciting opportunity to participate in movements for social change and welcome people from all fields to contribute to their initiatives.
HRLN gives a wonderful opportunity for interns to meet their peers all over the world. Interns will build their capacity to conduct research related to HRLNโs initiatives, drafting public interest petitions, fact-finding, updating the website, writing articles and publications, organizing workshops and conferences and such-like. They might also be required to travel to other parts of India to conduct fact finding and research on human rights issues.
