(UNI) Installation of Set up Box becomes compulsory with the Karnataka High Court today dismissing a petition filed by Cable T V Operators seeking extension of the March 31 deadline.
Justice Abdul Nazeer dismissed the petition filed by Karnataka State Cable T V Operators’ Association observing there was no merit in it and refused to grant any more time.
The court had earlier extended the March 31 deadline several times.
Only about 40 per cent of households in Bangalore and Mysore are digitised. Association President Sudeesh said they were yet to receive copy of the court order and once they get it, they would decide the future course of action whether appeal in the Supreme Court or not. UNI
