The CMR International Law Conference, 2013 is a part of the various research initiatives undertaken by CMR Law School. The conference proposes to create a forum giving voice and opportunity to various academicians and students from the field of law to come forward and contribute towards the growth of a substantive knowledge base in legal research. The topics chosen are of profound significance to contemporary occurrences bearing a direct relevance not only to legal issues but also emphasizing on the need to bring about a change in the way the world around us evolves into a better place.

The objective of this Conference is to put an insight into the issues and prospects related to Commercial Arbitration in the global scenario. The concept of party autonomy is one of the key area which needs more important to have an effective arbitration. The interference of courts, issues with regard to implementation of transnational party arbitration are among of the areas which will be a highlight of the conference. The decisions taken by the arbitrator cannot affect the public policy of the state which is another area hindering the success of commercial arbitration. The UNICITRAL has an important role in controlling the conduct of arbitration but it also fails to provide a clear-cut rules for issues like autonomy, jurisdiction etc., when it comes to conflict of laws between the parties. The conference will focus on some of these key issues which will be covered in the following topics.

Arbitration Studentsโ Conference, 2013
This Studentsโ Conference is a step towards building a network of future generations of Arbitrators and those working in the area of arbitration law and related fields to interact with each other. The aim of the Conference is to promote research activities among students of in the field of arbitration Law and provides a great opportunity to present their papers.
Call for Papers
Those interested in presenting papers should send the abstracts of their presentations (on a single A4 sheet) to the Organizing Committee, by not later than 20th October, 2012. The acceptances of papers will be confirmed by 25th October, 2012. Each presentation, not exceeding fifteen pages (along with the soft copy of the same) should be submitted on or before 11th January, 2013.
