The organizers of the Amity Moot Court Competition has been conducting this moot for the past 12 years with participation from prestigious colleges from various parts of the country. The competition is to be held on 1st – 3rd March, 2013.
Moot Problem
This year the moot problem is based on Intellectual Property Rights and Civil Procedure. Participants shall be tested on the basic concepts of Intellectual Property Law and related procedural laws. It is designed to test the knowledge of law and presence of mind more than anything else.
Registration
All teams that desire to participate in the competition shall cause the registration form to be filled. A scanned copy of the said form has to be e-mailed to alsdmcc [at] gmail [dot] com on or before 23:59 hrs, 20th December, 2012.
Participation will be on the basis of first come first served basis only. The maximum number of entries would be restricted to 25 (excluding other Amity teams). The first 25 teams to be registered will be confirmed of their participation in the competition through email on or before 20th December, 2012.
The hard copy of the registration form of those colleges whose participation has been confirmed has to reach the college by registered post (acknowledgement due) or speed post on or before 8th January, 2013. No change of participants will be permitted after the registration form is received by us, except at the sole discretion of the OC.
Each team shall submit a demand draft for Rs. 3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand Only) in the name of ‘Amity Law School’ payable atNew Delhi as Registration Fee. This demand draft must reach the college along with the Registration Form via registered post (acknowledgement due) or speed post latest by 8th January, 2013. If participation is denied on any ground, this amount will be refunded.
Important Dates
The teams should e-mail one copy of both Memorials (attached independently in the same mail) to alsdmcc [at] gmail [dot] com on or before 23:59 hours, 4th February, 2013. The soft copy should be in ‘.doc’ format only and should be compatible with Microsoft Word 2003 (or higher).
The file name should be the Team code followed by the letters ‘P’ or ‘D’ depending on which side the memorial is from. Nine hard copies of each memorial shall be submitted to the college via courier or R.P.A.D on or before 10th February, 2013.
